To strengthen its effort to be the country’s Chocolate center, the Davao City Agriculturist Office and the Cacao Industry Development Association Mindanao, Inc. launched the Cacao City on October 2.

The Cacao City will serve as the hub and a retail outlet for cacao products of Davao region and nearby areas.

Davao City to install more cameras

The City Government of Davao is set to buy additional 100 close circuit television (CCTV) cameras.

The request is made by the Public Safety Security Command Center and is already in the procurement stage.

Eagle Cement to build a $300M cement plant in Davao

Eagle Cement will build a cement manufacturing plant in Davao. This is the announcement made by Ramon S. Ang, the Chief Operating Officer of San Miguel Corporation.

Davao City to Start Underground Cabling Project Phase Two

After the successful implementation and good results of the phase 1 of the underground cabling project, the Davao City Engineers Office (CEO) is now pushing for the second phase of the project with participation of the Davao Light and Power Company.

Xiamen Airlines Starts Davao-Xiamen flight

The Xiamen Airlines made a maiden flight on Wednesday, September 28 carrying Chinese businessmen from Xiamen, China.

A water canon salute greeted the Xiamen jet upon landing at the Davao International Airport.

More ICT Companies Coming to Davao

More and more information and communication technology (ICT) companies are expanding their businesses in Davao.

The latest two developments are the investments coming from Zeald, a New Zealand-based IT company and HP Enterprise, an American multinational information technology company.

The two companies have signed an agreement with Davao-based Company, Next BPO solutions. Under the agreement, Next BPO Solutions will hire and house the employees of these companies. Read the rest of this entry »
