Davao City to Hold First Investment Conference

The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. will be conducting the first ever Davao Investment Conference or Davao iCon on August 19 to 20, 2011 at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao.

The conference is aimed to bring together businessmen and industry experts to unified discussions on the priority investment areas of Davao. Investors will get a glimpse on the different investment opportunities waiting for them during the event.

About more than 200 participants are expected to participate which includes company executives, industry experts, local and foreign businessmen, decision makers and many more. Foreign investors from Japan, China, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand and United States of America have already signified their interest for the said event.

There will be different business opportunities that will discussed by different speakers in the conference. Among them are the marina development project and the ASEAN Integration which aims to interconnect the ASEAN countries in the areas of free trade agreement wherein Davao City will play a major role as the entry point in the Philippines.

The investment conference is expected attract more foreign investors to invest in Davao especially in the areas of infrastructure development.
