Eagle Cement to build a $300M cement plant in Davao

Eagle Cement will build a cement manufacturing plant in Davao. This is the announcement made by Ramon S. Ang, the Chief Operating Officer of San Miguel Corporation.

The Davao Eagle cement manufacturing plant will have a capacity to manufacture two million tons or 50 million bags of cement per year.

Once operational. it will boost Eagle Cement production capacity.

The company is bullish on Mindanao’s growth prospects and identified Davao as a key growth area for the Philippines.

San Miguel Corporation also has a power generation investment through a 300-megawatt power plant in Malita, Davao del Sur.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the Davao Cement plant is scheduled on October 20.
