Megaworld Unveils Modern Township in Davao

Megaworld, one of the biggest property developers in the country is set to invest 15 billion pesos for a modern township in an 11-hectare property in Lanang, Davao in the next five to seven years.

The multi-billion mixed-use development project will be called Davao Park District and will be the Megaworld’s 10th township project in country.

The Davao Park District is a joint venture with the Dakudao Family and is envisioned to be the city’s next central business district and Information Technology hub.

The first building to rise at Davao Park District will be an office tower which will cater IT-BPO companies and multinational corporations. The project is expected to create at least 20,000 jobs once completed.

The Davao Park District will house state-of-the-art office buildings, a lifestyle mall, commercial and retail establishments, open parks and lagoon, a school and themed residential condominiums.

The company is impressed with the city track record when it comes to peace and order and business-friendly initiatives.

    Congrats Davao! Another huge investment from a big property developer. I am excited to see the renderings and hoping for something hi-rise and iconic.

    Megaworld has a very nice project in Iloilo (former airport). It includes 2 hotels and a convention center. Hopefully, they can do the same in Davao.

    The Davao Finance Center by Megaworld will certainly bring more job opportunities. This will certainly encourage more investors to expand their BPO operations in Davao given the stable peace and order situation and healthy business climate in Davao.

    Three to five years from now, we can see more BPO buildings, entertainment area, schools in this part of Davao. No need for the job seekers to go to far places like Manila just to find a job.

    Nice one for Davao! If it is going to be a mixed-development, hopefully, there will a hotel component so it is going to be a good addition for the city’s tourism facilities.
