Mt. Apo - the highest peak in the Philippines


Good news for tourists and mountain climbers who would like to climb the highest peak in the Philippines. Mt. Apo Trail Map is now available for free. All the things that you want to experience and witness are shown in the map.

The Trail map contains information about the mountain and its attraction. You can get a free copy of Mt. Apo Trail map in the Davao Department of Tourism office.

More about Mt. Apo
Mt. Apo stands 9,692 feet above sea level and features picturesque landscapes, volcanic structures, amazing rocks capes and virgin forests. It is capped by a 500 meter wide volcanic crater containing a small crater lake. The Lake Venado in Mt. Apo is one of the highest lakes in the Philippines.

How to get there
From Davao City, please proceed to Kapatagan in Davao del Sur, one of the jump-off points when climbing Mt. Apo. A registration fee of 500 pesos for every climber is required at the site. Before climbing, you can visit Forest Springs. This resort has a wide picnic area and a perfect place for camping. You can find the house of Kublai Milan in Kapatagan, Davao del Sur. Kublai Milan is a popular sculptor and artist based in Davao. While staying there, you can jump off to Camp Sabros and experience one of the longest zip lines in the country. You take a view of the beautiful scenery of the entire mountain.
At the foot of Mt. Apo, you can visit Kalimudan Bagobo Cultural Village in Barangay Tibolo, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. You can interact with the tribe living in the place and have an opportunity to learn about their culture. This village is elevated 2,000 meters above sea level.

These attractions are perfect for this summer season. You can enjoy the summer vacation by spending time in one of the beautiful spots of Kapatagan and discover the wonder of nature.
