The Island Garden City of Samal Government recently launched “Visit Samal Island 2012”. This is the second time the island unveils such marketing campaign. This year’s event is expected to be bigger and grander with the active participation of the private sector.
This Visit Samal 2012 campaign has a tagline “Where life is fun” and aims to increase the tourism arrivals and putting Samal Island on the map as the destination of choice for both local and foreign visitors. The campaign started on April 21 and will end July 15.
The organizer had prepared a line-up of activities that will truly excite visitors of the island especially during the duration of the event. Competitions in sports, music, beauty pageant, dance, and painting, among others are also lined up.
There are also first-time events that will surely attract more visitors. Among these are the Davao Gulf Line Fishing contest, Miss Body Beautiful pageant, and a Level III shooting competition.
The Visit Samal Island campaign is expected to further boost the booming tourism industry of Samal Island.
